Mark O'Toole began his career on the Melbourne stand-up comedy circuit.  By the mid-nineties he was writing on projects such as Full Frontal and Eric (with Eric Bana) for Artist Services before becoming Head Writer (with Dave O'Neil) of  Totally Full Frontal for the Ten Network.  Mark ans Dave went on to co-write the feature films Take Away and You and Your Stupid Mate.

Mark's television credits include the award-winning series John Safran's Music Jamboree (co-writer) and John Safran Versus God (co-writer and associate producer) and the long-running ABC series Spicks and Specks (writer, producer).  Other credits include projects as diverse as Comedy Inc (10 Network), Speaking in Tongues (SBS), Rove Live (Channel 10) and Adam Hills In Gordon Street Tonight (ABC).

Most recently Mark wrote and associate produced Sex: An Unnatural History, a six part comedy/documentary series produced by matchbox Pictures for SBS Television.  Like all writers, he has projects in various stages of development at numerous production companies and networks.
